Local author Aaron Chapman will visit Burnaby Public Library for an engaging presentation on his latest book, The Last Gang in Town: The Epic Story of the Police vs The Clark Park Gang. A facinating account of corruption and murder in local history, this compelling story follows a year-long confrontation in 1972 between the Vancouver Police and the east-side gang. Chapman is a writer, historian, and musician with a special interest in the history of Vancouver after dark. You might know him from his other works, Liquor, Lust and the Law: The story of Vancouver's legendary Penthouse nightclub and Live at the Commodore: the story of Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom, the latter winning the Bill Duthie Booksellers' Choice Award (BC Book Prizes) in 2015.
