Will you make (and break) the stock market? (Session 2)

Come participate in a simulated market and learn how economics helps us understand how markets work, where prices come from and why Adam Smith's metaphor of the "invisible hand" captures the working of (some) markets so nicely. Erik Kimbrough, Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, will guide you through a version of an economics experiment that won a Nobel Prize.

 

SFU Economics

This class is intended and designed for high school students who are participating in the School District 41 day at SFU Burnaby. Registration for this class begins on April 18th and ends on April 26th. Others are welcomed if space permits.
