Dream, Girl: The documentary film for women by women showcasing the stories of inspiring and ambitious female entrepreneurs. We know the names of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg. But what about the female entrepreneurs? What’s their story?

From brand new startups to million dollar industries, it’s time we stop telling girls they can be anything they want to be and show them what it means to be a leader.

Join WWEST for a series of screening of films featuring women in STEM with the aim of encouraging more girls to go into STEM careers. We’re kicking this off with a screening of Hidden Figures at the Metrotown branch of the Burnaby Public Library on Sunday, May 6, from 1:30-4:30pm. The next screening WWEST and the Burnaby Public library are putting on to get girls into STEM is She Started It, a documentary on women tech founders. It will take place at the McGill branch. The final screening of films featuring women in STEM being put on by WWEST and the Burnaby Public Library is Dream, Girl being screened at the Tommy Douglas Branch on Friday, May 11 from 3:00 - 5:30pm. Dream, Girl is a documentary about female entrepreneurs.
